2025 Wrapped
Favorite pieces from 2025 and plans for 2026
Almost exactly a year into my jewelry-making journey, I’ve been reflecting on how much time, energy, and love have gone into learning an entirely new craft. I began with zero knowledge and, through a lot of practice at home and guidance from my mentors at ileava jewelry and Senseis at Aoyama School of Jewelry and Metalsmithing, I discovered a genuine passion for this world.
This is my last weekly update of the year ahead of the holidays, so I pulled some photos of a few of my favorite pieces and moments in 2025 below. Beginning from January, I’ll be switching to ad hoc written updates that will be longer form and focus more on the design and technical process. As my pieces take longer to make, this cadence will give them (and myself!) more breathing room. You can follow me on Instagram for more frequent glimpses of what I’m up to.
Looking ahead to 2026, I have a lot of exciting plans in development with gemstones and stone-setting as a central focus. I’ve been sourcing a few hand-cut, one-of-a-kind stones that I can’t wait to make into a little capsule collection later in the year. In the summer, I hope to enroll in a month-long intensive stone-setting course with the goal of using those new skills to develop a small engagement ring collection for 2027/2028.
Thank you so much for following along this year, for your support, and for the encouragement that has meant more than you know. Wishing you a warm, restful holiday season and a wonderful start to the new year!
